There’s something timeless about senior photos at the beach, and Great Island Common in New Castle, NH is one of my favorite locations for creating bright, natural portraits with a beautiful coastal backdrop. Finding Her Confidence in Front of the Camera

Even though she is naturally photogenic, she told me she felt a little unsure at the beginning of the session. Like many seniors, it can feel a little strange having a camera pointed at you, even when you’re excited for your photos.

As we explored Great Island Common, she quickly settled in. With a little guidance and encouragement, her confidence grew with every location and outfit. By the end of the session, she looked completely at ease in front of the camera, moving effortlessly from pose to pose and absolutely knocking it out of the park.

One of my favorite parts of being an NH senior photographer is watching that transformation happen. By the end of every session, my goal is for you to feel like the very best version of yourself—and this session was the perfect example of that.

A Session I’ll Never Forget

As much as I loved every image from this session, it turned out that everyone else did too! One of the photos from her gallery became my most-liked Instagram post, and it’s easy to see why. Between the gorgeous beach light, her confidence by the end of the session, and the stunning scenery at Great Island Common, everything came together perfectly.

It’s a wonderful reminder that the best senior portraits aren’t about knowing how to pose—they’re about feeling comfortable enough to be yourself.
